RYT200 - Yoga Teacher
Jenny completed her 200-hour Teacher Training Certification with Inhale Pittsburgh, in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Jenny found yoga through a dear friend who suggested it might help her manage anxiety and find mental clarity. As a lifelong athlete, Jenny was skeptical of the world of yoga, but quickly found that her generalizations had held her back from a practice that was mysteriously and powerfully healing. As her body grew stronger and more balanced, less obvious benefits began seeping into her life off the mat in tiny ways that soon amounted to a conscious journey toward self-love, self acceptance, and self-exploration.
Jenny’s passion is making yoga fun, accessible, and honest, helping those who think they could never be yogis bridge the gap between preconceived ideas of the practice and realities of it. The foundation of both her practice and her teaching is the idea that yoga doesn’t care if you are dragged to class by a friend, if you come to your mat disconnected or scatter-brained, if you’re a skeptic or a spiritual guru, or if you’re a flexible pretzel or stiff as a board. It only cares that you show up.
Jenny experienced, firsthand, the magic that happens when building strength and creating space in the body through asana gives birth to confidence, focus, acceptance, discipline, and the abilities to let go and to be present. She continues to be amazed at the ways in which nurturing the body can translate into nurturing the mind and wants to share with others the beautiful endeavor of uniting the two. In Jenny’s classes, you can expect physically challenging and invigorating flows, as well as guidance in learning to be patient with our bodies and discovering how to progress while still meeting ourselves right where we are with love and compassion, each time we practice.
